Priska Döring grew up in Baden-Württemberg, met her husband on holiday in France and moved with him to North Rhine-Westphalia before spending eight years teaching at the German school in Lima. She has been principal of DSJ since 2023 — she applied, she says, only to this one school, because it felt like a match. Off duty she keeps rabbits, runs a small jewellery workshop back in Germany, and is unambiguous: education over pretzels, Adele over Taylor Swift, Johannesburg over Cape Town.
